Eurail Group sponsors with InterRail Pass the Packed Oktoberfest Guide issue
Sales of InterRail passes over the first 6 months of the year have exceeded all expectations with an increase of 36% compared to the same period last year. This positive growth in passengers proves that the new InterRail pass offer, launched last April and comprising the InterRail Global Pass and a whole range of One Country Passes, is a definite ‘hit’ with European rail travellers.
So far over 100,000 InterRail enthusiasts purchased an InterRail pass this year whereby 68% opted for a Global (multi country) pass and 32% for a One Country Pass.
Sales via the participating European railway companies account for 84% of all InterRail Passes sold, whilst the share of pass sales through the official sales website, www.InterRailnet.com, is growing rapidly with 16% sold through this channel.
